Background/ History

Kerala Association of Nashville is a non-profit, non-political, secular and cultural organization, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

The initiative for a Malayalee Communities forum in middle Tennessee  was stared way back in 1998 as an informal gathering at the initiatives of few dynamic members.

In 2008 the informal gathering turned into a formal organization with the registration  of The Kerala Association of Nashville  in the State of Tennessee as a nonprofit, cultural organization.

Kerala Association of Nashville has a unique model of dynamic team, with an outstanding operational style which stands apart from other associations in North America.

Kerala Association of Nashville has been actively involved in community outreach programs,women’s forum , youth leadership forum towards the betterment of the community we live in, also in supporting charity initiatives around Nashville metro area and in our homeland, India. KAN has regularly organized Charity initiatives like Chennai flood relief, Nepal Earthquake relief and Regional Cancer center building fund. KAN makes a great contribution to our society by giving ample opportunity to our kids to excel in their personal talents, such as dancing, singing, acting and all other artistic adventures.
