KAN is back with another community volunteer opportunity — *Special Olympics Tennessee 2026 State Fall Games.*

Registration
Age 16+:
Create your own Special Olympics Volunteer Portal account and register directly through the link above.
Ages 8–15:
A parent/guardian should create a portal account, go to Volunteer Zone → Manage my Groups, create a family Team/Group, add the child, then return to the KAN2026 link and register the participating child/children.
Adding the child to the Team alone does not register them for the event.
Age Requirements
• Age 8+ only
• 16+ may volunteer independently
• Ages 8–15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
• 
Volunteer service hours will be awarded to participating kids
I’m attaching the Special Olympics Team/Group Setup Guide for families registering kids.
For kids who need a Class B Volunteer Waiver, I’ll share that separately.
Please let me know once you complete the registration so I can confirm our KAN volunteer count, and feel free to reach out if you need any help with the registration process.

Dear KAN Family members and Friends,
I am writing to you today with immense pride and deep gratitude as I officially step into the role of President of Kerala Association of Nashville (KAN). Thank you for placing your confidence and trust in me to lead this vital organization. I accept this responsibility with eagerness and a profound commitment to our shared mission.
First, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our outgoing President, Shibu Pillai, and the previous Executive Committee for their exceptional leadership and tireless dedication. Their and KAN previous leadership's efforts and contributions have shaped KAN into the strong, impactful organization it is today, and I am honored to continue this journey building on their success.
I am continually inspired by the passion and resilience of our members and partners who help to advance our cause. This is a collective task, and it is our shared values of resilience, integrity, compassion, collaboration that will guide us forward. As we look to the future, my vision for KAN is centered on a permanent office for KAN and we constitute a committee to come up with a plan to achieve that goal named "Kerala Center Nashville (KCN)" project. Over the coming two years, we will also focus on implementing our flagship events and activities that previous leaderships have successfully implemented.
I believe that every member of our community has valuable insights and a vital role to play in this work. My goal is to foster an environment of open dialogue and collaboration, ensuring every voice is heard and respected.
